Nipun Lakshay

NIPUN (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy) is a national mission launched by the Ministry of Education in July 2021 to improve the reading and mathematical skills of primary school children. The goal of NIPUN is to ensure that all children have foundational skills by the end of grade 3 by 2026-2027. The programme aims at ensuring the fundamental skills of reading, writing and numeracy to a sustainable and tangible level among the children up to standard III with a well set competencies.
