The extraordinary journey of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, which began in 1963 with just 20 regimental schools, has transformed into a vast network of 1,289 Kendriya Vidyalayas, illuminating the nation with the light of exceptional education.

I feel indeed privileged and proud to invite you to this website, which stands as a gateway of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan to share our vision and goals in alignment with the rapidly changing pedagogical practices in school education. It also serves as a strong bridge connecting all stakeholders associated with school education, enabling us to work together in this noble endeavour. In the Bhubaneswar Region, we provide a vibrant platform for our students through a wide spectrum of academic and co-curricular activities. These initiatives help nurture their talents and develop their skills beyond the classroom walls, preparing them to serve our great nation with competence and commitment. I am confident that with the combined efforts of our hardworking and dedicated employees, the cooperation of stakeholders, the blessings and guidance of our patrons, and the constant inspiration of our Hon’ble Commissioner, we will continue to grow and evolve. Today, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan proudly serves a vast student community numbering well over one million. Although the magnitude of this responsibility is challenging, what truly distinguishes KVS is the quality of service it renders in shaping the personality and character of its students. While we continue to lead our institutions to the best of our capabilities, new challenges constantly emerge. Among them, the most significant is ensuring the delivery of quality education to the children entrusted to our care. Education, in its true sense, is not confined to academics alone.
